The development of the country is directly relying on quality education.
Why learning couldn't become easy? Is this the consequence of ineffective teaching methods or the curriculum we read is outmoded? Why our teens couldn't be able to find a job after completing the study?
Once, a great scientist, Albert Einstien had been asked, how many inches there in 1 foot? He was not able to answer that question and retort like his mind was not to store the factual data but to calculate the sensational problems instead. His answer was fare enough because there's a billion terra byte of data producing each day. How could we possibly be able to store all this raw information in our minds? We create a data-centers to store this data alternately. Then why our teachers forcing to remember factual data to students? This has become a surprising argument of whether we should make them a hard disk or calculator? I' gonna illuminate some of my opinions regarding this argument by answering the aforementioned questions.
The education system we embrace for a long time is like a parrot study. We only focus on memorizing the facts and segregating students with their memorizing capacity which is a great fallacy of our generation. Students feel so onerous to go to school, recording unnecessary data and doing homework. This should be ended otherwise it follows a great problem in the near future. As we can also see the problems of our current teens who have recently passed a bachelor's degree or master's degree, unfortunately, suffering from great unemployment. Sadly, they only have a piece of paper in the name of the degree but have no skills and knowledge. What we are making our students, data center or a processor? We as human beings should be able to process raw data to perform a proper decision. We are responsible to make recording devices not to act like recording devices.
We have unlimited brain capacity, however, we are not handling it with care. The education system in Nepal only focuses on memorizing the fact, not to make creative and intelligent to solve the sensational problems.
Why Nepali choose to go abroad to study?
Limited educational and employment opportunities in Nepal are among the factors driving the outflow of Nepali students. Political instability – there have been nine different governments between 2008 and 2016 alone – and devastating earthquakes in 2015 have worsened social conditions in the country. However, the government seeks to improve the education system with reforms, such as the extension of compulsory basic education to eight years of schooling.[1]
The statistic shows more than sixty thousand students went abroad in 2018. This is a very large number. We should be scrutinized on this issue, why they do not want to study here in Nepal? If this doesn't stop, our country will be in deprivation soon. Indeed, the fundamental of developing the country is students, neither the politician nor the artist could make the country better if they are not highly scholastic, the prosperity of the country also relies on skilled and scholastic students. For instance, the USA is one of the successful countries, their education is most acknowledge in the whole earth. Students could get recognized degrees and trusted by the employer. Either they create employments or make them support to create additional employment, whereas the condition of Nepal is exactly the opposite.
Our university is doing business rather than making students capable of being productive and independent. None of our universities take responsibility for students in their future. They only produce so-called graduates which eventually creates unemployment. One of the US universities named MUM (Maharishi University Of Management) is the emblem of my ideal university, this university takes full responsibility for its students. They make students full of capable within eight months of teaching period and help to find a better company to train students in real-world problems and ultimately students get a chance to work with a competitive market then finally became a good skilled and capable student.
This is my personal opinion if you want to be clear regarding the condition of education in Nepal, please read more here. and Here
Finally, I want to say that I am not stereotyping all the college and university as a whole, I solely criticize in general view. Some of the colleges provide very good quality of education and producing extraordinary products but the number is very few.
