Ambition: To get conscious based education
Introduction:
2076/2/7
To illuminate my thought, first I want to elaborate on some sad reality of our country.
Like in several countries Nepal has suffered from mass migration to the cities. Kathmandu and Pokhara is the main target for rural Nepali. Over the last twenty years due to bulk unemployment, the civil war terminated several years back and they hope to give their children a better life. The population of Kathmandu has increased considerably.
Those who can afford and earn a fascinated amount of money, their children are getting a quality education. ( I mean they can admit their children to the most expensive college and schools). But in rural areas, the condition is very miserable and opposite.

The education system and its competition currently our institutions acquired are some sorts of ostentatious. I've noticed most of the institutions and colleges charge excessive tuition fees to their students. And the situation of government education is very critical. Nowadays in our government schools, the number of students is hardly 10% of the capacity of the schools and college. This is so much mortifying to acknowledge the fact of the Nepal government. Children in a rural area like Jumla, Humla, Karnali, Barpak, and many others are striving and deprived of a good education.
In 2074, I visited Mustang -- one of the rural places of Nepal-- and I found lots of children were not used to go school because of the ineffective education. Students who were passed form those schools are also suffering from unemployment because they didn't learn better skills and knowledge. This is so sad to hear.
So that I thought I must change our teaching method and curriculum. Last year, I met with a genius fellow, Arpan Sharma - Memory King - Guinness World Record Holder. He also mentions and lampoon that teaching strategies acquire by the teacher is very unproductive and outmoded.
The most galvanizing causes which direct me to think about this idea. (Next Generation University)
- Unproductive teaching strategies.
- The rate our students go abroad each year is increasing. Last year, almost 40,000 students went abroad.
- Expensive private schools and ineffective government schools.
- Children in rural places are deprived of quality education.
- Children go to schools but learn nothing beneficial which they can use in their lifetime.
- Teens are soo much displeased to our government. Lots of youth addicted to a drug and acquire unethical behavior. This is not their blunder actually, it happens due to the environment we could not make healthy.
- and many more...
My plans to overcome these problems:
I am planning to established a non-profit University/College by doing so I could minimize the cost drastically. University will take responsibility for students' careers and jobs. We will help them to find suitable jobs. Until and unless they didn't get a proper job, the university will not charge a single penny for education. Some of you might have a question that students would become dishonest to the university and what if they didn't pay even after they find a quality job? This is a fair question but I want to state that if we can teach them humanity they, of course, show it. We have no right to charge anyone without providing anything, for example, if we can teach them good education they definitely will appreciate us.
Children nowadays misuse technology. I saw most of our children were addicted to smartphones and games. This would result in very bad. They have been badly affected by social media which eventually results in lose control in their mind. They can't control their own mind. So I thought, we have to teach them to restrain their anger and control their brain. The teaching method in this university/college will help and this is totally different from that current method. This university will have transcendental meditation as a part of the curriculum. The benefits of meditation are endless. If our student can regulate their mind they could be able to handle any hard situation calmly.
The course structure also will be very different from currently practiced. I am planning to structure the course in the "block system". This method will be very effective. In this method, the student will be taught only one subject for a certain period of time, for instance, one or two months as required. Once they will become sharp and gained enough knowledge in a particular subject, students will be tested their skills. And then only we start the next one. Currently, our students overwhelmed with the subject they read, at once they have to study seven to ten different subjects and how could anyone possibly be perfect in a different area at once.

Wow, I like your idea and if you initiate, I will support and contribute with full of my heart.
ReplyDeleteThank you maam, I will definitely start once I complete my study. Stay in touch madam.
